Kensington-Bellwoods Community Legal Services has merged with The Neighbourhood Group Community Services

We are excited to announce that Kensington-Bellwoods Community Legal Services merged with The Neighbourhood Group Community Services on April 1, 2023.  This partnership will enable us to provide improved services to our community, as we share a common commitment to social justice, community development, and improving the lives of low-income people.

We know that by joining forces, we will be better equipped to address the changing needs of our community, and provide greater support to our staff and volunteers. Our top priority remains serving our diverse communities and working with vulnerable people to break the cycle of poverty.

We want to reassure our stakeholders that our focus will be on improving the lives of Toronto’s most vulnerable residents, through the provision of high-quality, accessible, and inclusive programs and services. We will also work to build our sustainability, harmonize our processes, and strengthen our back-office functions.

As a result of this merger, our clients will benefit from expanded services and new program opportunities. Additionally, our staff will have the opportunity to work alongside new colleagues and receive increased support as part of a long-standing and well-regarded organization.

We value your ongoing support, interest, and input as we continue to work together to build a stronger and more effective organization. Please know that your questions, comments and feedback are welcomed so feel free to contact John Doherty (john.doherty@kbcls.clcj.ca or 416-924-4244, x23) or Bill Sinclair (mailto:ceo@tngcs.org or 416-925-2103 x1239) at any time.

We look forward to the exciting journey ahead!
