Supreme Court turns 150, Interview with Chief Justice

This year, Canada’s Supreme Court turns 150! In an interview on the “Modern Law” podcast, the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, Rt. Hon. Richard Wagner, speaks about the importance of judicial independence and improving access to justice. His interview begins at the 20 minute mark and he mentions the perspective he gained from his visit last fall, to Kensington-Bellwoods Community Legal Services (KBCLS) to observe the work of the legal clinic and Pro Bono Students Canada volunteers in providing access to justice to individuals. KBCLS was very honoured to host the Chief Justice and remains unwavering in its commitment to provide quality legal assistance and improved access to justice to the communities it serves.
